This is one of my all time favorite comfort foods. This recipe is very simple, but extremely tasty. My Mother used to make this for us all the time and it always takes me back to my childhood.
1 pound duck or goose sausage (If not available deer meat works great and so does hamburger)
1 jar of Ragu spaghetti sauce (traditional style 24 oz)
1 box Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
1 can of Green Giant extra crisp corn
1 Green Bell Pepper
2 Cups chopped mushrooms
2 Cups shredded cheese
Step 1: Cut up and place in a casserole dish your 1 bell pepper your 2 cups of mushrooms and your can of corn.
Step 2: Brown your duck or goose sausage and then drain the fat.
Step 3: Cook the noodles of the macaroni and cheese.
Step 4: Stir in the cheese packet from the macaroni and cheese (DO NOT ADD MILK OR BUTTER).
Step 5: Place the duck or goose sausage into the macaroni and cheese and add the jar of Ragu.
Step 6: Add your macaroni and cheese mix to the casserole dish with your previous ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Step 7: Cover entire dish with Chili Powder then mix your dish and cover again (If you like spice you can do this a couple more times if desired).
Step 8: Cover the dish with your shredded cheese and then place casserole dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Step 9: Enjoy your meal with a nice salad and some garlic bread.
